Material and heat treatment of general shaft parts
1. Materials of general axis Precision parts (1) Generally, 45 steel is used as the material of shaft parts. For shafts with higher precision, 40Cr, bearing steel GCr15, spring steel 65Mn, and ductile iron can also be used. For high-speed and heavy-load shafts, 20CrMnTi, 20Mn2B, and 20Cr are used. Isoturized steel or 38CrMoAl nitrided steel. (2) Generally, the blanks of shaft parts are usually round bar materials and forgings; large shafts or shafts with complicated structures adopt castings. After the forging is heated and forged, the internal fiber structure of the metal can be evenly distributed along the surface to obtain higher tensile strength, bending strength and torsional strength. 2. Heat treatment of general shaft parts 1) Before processing, the forging blanks must be normalized or annealed to refine the grains inside the steel, eliminate forging stress, reduce material hardness, and improve cutting performance. 2) Tempering is generally arranged after the rough car and before the semi-finish car to obtain good comprehensive mechanical properties. 3) Surface quenching is generally arranged before finishing, which can correct local deformation caused by quenching. 4) For shafts with high precision requirements, after local quenching or rough grinding, low-temperature aging treatment is required.
